A Hotel in a Frank Lloyd Wright Style The Prairie Inn and Suites, constructed in 2005 by Rick & Peggy Johnson of Holmen, is a beautiful two-story, 38-room hotel that is designed with wide eaves and rectangular windows in a Frank Lloyd Wright style. The new hotel is decorated in a prairie-style look that identifies it with the Prairies around the area. The hotel is also decorated with photographs of prairie flowers and scenes evoked by prairies. This magnificent quality built building is located right off Hwy. 53 (near the BP Convenience Store) north of Highway OT only 5 minutes from LaCrosse. The Prairie Inn & Suites features easy access high-speed Internet connections and Whirlpool Suite rooms.

“Wish I Could Have Stayed Longer” Date of review: Oct 15, 2010 With most of the hotels in tyhe area fully booked or with very high rates, we were lucky to find the Prairie Inn & Suites from a recommendation of a UW Lacrosse student. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was very clean and quiet. We slept well and everything is only minutes away. The price was a steal and the facility is rather new (built in 2005). Next time we will book early, because this hotel stays booked. “Great!” Date of review: Sep 6, 2010 What a great hotel. The room was spotless, warm and inviting. The desk clerk was very friendly, you just can't beat this place, I was impressed! We stayed at this hotel for three nights in early July and paid about $86 a night after all the taxes and service fees. The hotel is only a couple years old, and it is very clean and nicely decorated with modern touches. The rooms included a small refrigerator, which was a nice perk. Another nice touch: instead of using regular shampoo and soap products, the room had fancier Rusk shampoo, conditioner and lotion. The people on staff were very friendly and always willing to help if we had any questions. The hotel has whirlpool suites, though we did not stay in one. The hotel serves a very elaborate continental breakfast including coffee, orange juice, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, bagels, French toast and waffles. There were a few small things we thought were lacking, however, considering the relatively high price for the area. The TVs didn't have any premium channels, as many other hotels of the same price do, and there was no hairdryer in the room. - Yardley, PA. Hi- We stayed with you this week-end (March 31st-April 1) while doing a little bathroom remodeling project for our kids in Onalaska. We just wanted to let you know we have a really pleasant stay. It was so nice to have a nice clean, comfortable room to call home after a very long day. We were in room 115--loved the colors in the room, the decorations, and the bed was really comfortable. We will definitely stay with you again when we come down to see the kids. Next time I hope we'll have time to have a breakfast with you too. - Thanks again for a really great stay.
